The Habanero Platform provides an online framework that allows mobile devices to communicate efficiently using pure HTTP protocols.
The framework has an extensive set of device and server side components that allow for rapid development of intricate systems that are always connected.

The Habanero Platform can be used for:
- Online or cached-offline serving of content such as audio clips, video clips, news or articles.
- Integrating community services such as commenting, rating or sharing of items.
- Client side events to deliver NRT (near real time) information such as sports results, breaking news, lotto results or even instant messaging.
- Audio, video and picture capturing and uploading where the device allows it.
